COVID-19 - WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

The workshop, in line with government guidelines, is closed to members of the public. We are instead offering a collection and delivery service for all repairs, relieving you the customer, of the need to carry out an unnecessary journey. Collections and deliveries are carried out using social distancing measures. These measures will remain in place, even once the lockdown has been ended, until such time as social distancing measures are relaxed.

Please call to discuss your repair or restoration needs where we can discuss how collection and delivery measures can best be tailored to your individual needs.

Gear Cutting
All wheel and pinion cutting is carried out in house.
Missing gears or indeed entire missing gear trains can be calculated and replacements made.

Clocks from the 17th and 18th centuries generally have a tooth shape which does not match modern proprietary cutters. In this event, a cutter to precisely match the tooth shape can be custom made.
Wheels can also be made using cast brass to ensure that not only the tooth form matches but also the type and colour of the material used.
